Emergency Alert, Inc., was founded in 1998 to provide a secure, affordable way for individuals to make their personal and medical information accessible to healthcare workers in the event of an emergency. The company resulted from a series of questions that occurred to the original company founder, Helen Hill Jacobs, as she was driving to work on a particularly dangerous section of highway. We all ask ourselves similar questions from time to time:

"What if I was hurt in an accident?"

"Who would contact my daughter in
another state?"

"What if something happened to my
elderly father and I wasn't around?"

"How can I protect myself and loved ones?"

What started as one woman's crusade has evolved into the eMedic Card, an exceptionally flexible, secure method of providing critical information in an emergency.
