The eMedic Card Zip-Clips offer small, durable plastic alternatives to carrying a full-size eMedic Card.  At 1” x 2”, each Zip-Clip is approximately the same size as a grocery store key tag, but is much sturdier in its construction.  They are made of the same quality 30 mil PVC plastic as the full size cards and will not delaminate as you may have experienced with less durable key tags.  Each member will receive a set of three Zip-Clips upon becoming an eMedic Card member.  Additional sets of three Zip-Clips are available for purchase so you can always have one with you or your loved ones.

Why use Zip-Clips?

Zip-Clips can be used whenever a member doesn't wish to carry a full-size eMedic Card.  These small versions of the card are conveniently clipped onto date books, handbags or any number of personal items.  They should be placed in a visible location so emergency personnel may easily spot them.

Who uses Zip-Clips?

Adults use Zip-Clips when they want a noticeable but unobtrusive way to display that they are an eMedic Card member.  When clipped onto computer bags, totes, purses, jackets, wheelchairs, walkers or other items, the Zip-Clip is clearly visible and eliminates the need to carry a wallet card or wear bulky jewelry.

Children use the eMedic Card Zip-Clips almost exclusively.  Most children do not carry wallets or purses and so have no place to carry a full-size eMedic Card.  Instead, the Zip-Clips may be clipped to their jackets, backpacks, bicycles and other clothing or personal items.  They can even be laced onto shoes.  This way your child can be easily identified as an eMedic Card member in an emergency.

The Zip-Clips do not have the member’s name printed on them like the full-size eMedic Card.  This is a security feature that prevents you child’s name from being displayed to potential strangers.  The eMedic Card member number is all that is needed to allow emergency personnel to obtain your child’s Personal Emergency Medical Profile and Emergency Contact Information.
